Project Title
Sonata at Payne Hollow
Role
Co-Producer
Along the Kentucky shore of the Ohio, in the eve of some future day, an old boatman and his young apprentice make camp in a curve of the river and behold a vision of the departed couple who used to make their home there...
Sonata at Payne Hollow is a short play by Wendell Berry. The play pays reflective homage to artist Harlan Hubbard and his wife Anna, who spent the early years of their marriage traveling the Ohio River in a hand-built shantyboat, before [literally] making their home in Payne Hollow.
